Catching Up

So, we made it back safe and sound from vacation.  Now the name of the game is, “Catch Up.”

The beach was amazing. The weather was great every day except for a little bit on Friday, our last full day at the beach. Can’t complain about that.

I’m so glad my parents aren’t the kind of people who have to have a full itinerary when they go on vacation, not that there’s anything wrong with that, all you planners out there. Our daily routine consisted of waking up, checking email on the Blackberry,  hitting the beach around 10:00 AM and staying there usually until around 5:00 PM or so. I finished two Ted Dekker novels, which was a pretty good accomplishment for me. We walked the boardwalk daily, ate way too much good food (Thrasher’s fries, shaved ice, pizza, you name it), and just had a great time together as a family. We even visited a Ripley’s Believe It or Not museum (more on that in a later post).

The catching up refers mostly to work. A lot goes on when you don’t check in for an entire week, but I’m getting pretty well caught up at this point.

Stay tuned for my “Top 10 Things I Learned at the Beach” post.
